It’s back! Saffron Walden 41 Club’s second Charity Dog walk is on Bank Holiday Monday 5th May 2025, raising money for the ARC (Animal Rescue Charity), a wonderful local organisation helping dogs (and cats) find new loving homes.
Book your place at 9k4k9.co.uk and put your best paw forward for the 4.5km or 9km around the wonderful town and fields of Saffron Walden, followed by fun and games at Saffron Walden Cricket Club.

9K 4 K9 – from pugs to Great Danes, from Crufts hopefuls and family champions to lovable mutts, or even if you do not have a dog, this is Saffron Walden 41 Club’s charity dog walk and we are taking the lead to raise vital funds for ‘The Animal Rescue Charity’.
The Animal Rescue Charity (ARC) in Bishop’s Stortford was set up over 33 years ago to prevent unnecessary suffering of animals by providing a safe haven / sanctuary for animals in need, restoring their well-being and ensuring that their future is a safe and happy one. ARC is the small charity with a big heart who always put the welfare of the animals first.
We aiming to raise an incredible £2,000 and we need YOUR help!
9K4K9 isn’t just about raising funds for this great charity, its also a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the lovely scenery and walks around Saffron Walden, learn some (hopefully interesting) facts, whilst getting health benefits for you and the paws in your family.
There are two walks available on the day – one being 9km and the other 4.5km.
They both start from Saffron Walden Cricket Club where there will be fun for all the family, whether you have two legs or four!
- We will start at the Saffron Walden Cricket Club (not the Common as previously advertised).
- There are two walks available
- If you are planning on walking the 4.5km route, please arrive and register at about 11.00am.
- If you are feeling more adventurous and will do the 9km walk, please arrive and register from 10.30am onwards.
- Please ensure you let us know at the Registration Desk that you have arrived. We will provide you with the required information needed.
- Once you are back at the Cricket Club, please sign back in at the Registration Desk to receive your doggie treat!
- Please stick around once you have finished the walk as there will be:
- Food and beverage for after your long walk including the bar being open in the Cricket Clubhouse especially,
- The 41 Club dog competition across multiple fun categories (register your dog at the registration desk when you arrive),You dog must be kept on lead at all times of the walk and Cricket Club grounds.
- You never know what the UK weather will throw at us, so please make sure you come suitably attired.
