Gordon Morrison - Tettenhall 41 Club

We are sad to report the death of Gordon on February 2nd at the age of 82.

Gordon was born in Manchester but grew up in Newcastle on Tyne. He obtained a BSC in civil engineering at Kings College Durham. This led to a variety of jobs with large construction companies such as McAlpines and Wimpey.

Gordon and his wife Marita moved to Wolverhampton in 1963 to work for Tarmac. He later moved to Millards as Managing Director and later Chairman of the company.

Gordon first joined Round Table in Chelmsford Essex and later the Wilmslow club when they moved to Alderley Edge, finally joining Tettenhall Table after the move to Wolverhampton.

He became a member of Tettenhall 41 Club in 1973 but heart problems forced his resignation, he did however rejoin the club in 2006 and was an active member despite the limitations imposed on him after having suffered a major stroke in 1989.

Gordon leaves behind wife Marita and children Andrew and Caroline to whom our condolences were extended at his well attended funeral at St Chad’s Church Pattingham.
