Peter Emmett - Blackpool Progress 41 Club

We are saddened by the death of Peter Emmett on November 18th aged 84. He was a photographer for the local newspaper for over 50 years, capturing images of many famous personalities, including the Queen. He was a founder member and past chairman of Blackpool Progress Round table and 41 Club always contributing with verve and enthusiasm. He was also the organiser of the entertainment for the National Conference, held in Blackpool in 1986 and chairman of the organising committee for that in 1995 and as regional councillor and instigated the Red Rose Dinner. He always saw humour, coupled with common sense, in most situations, and will be sorely missed by all, especially his widow Diane and his family.
