Graham (Clampy) Clamp - Swadlincote and District 41 Club

Graham passed away on Friday 8th March 2019 aged 94.

For many years Graham was Chief Engineer at Marston’s Brewery in Burton, and often attributed his longevity to moderate but regular consumption of Marston’s Pedigree.

On retiring from Swadlincote and District Round Table he joined Swadlincote and District 41 Club, and served as National Councillor for Region 6 North Midlands (now Region 10) for two terms between 1992 and 1998.

He was a stalwart of National Council and well known in the world of 41 International.

He was awarded the 41 Club Association Award on 12th April 2013 and the citation on his certificate reads:

"Graham is a long standing member of his 41 Club which he has served in all capacities. Over the years he has given exceptional service to the Association. He has been a National Councillor and has attended and contributed to over 30 National Conferences and AGM’s. In addition he has frequently attended many International club meetings and International AGM’s".

In our thoughts, and those of the Round Table Family, are his wife Nora, son and daughter Peter and Sandra, and grandchildren Jonathan, William and Hannah.

The funeral will be on Wednesday 27 March at 12 noon in the Caernarvon Chapel of Bretby Crematorium, Geary Lane, Bretby, Burton-on-Trent DE15 0QE and after at Keepers' Cottage, Bretby Park, Burton-on-Trent DE15 0QG (half a mile away).
