The Vice-Chairman’s Challenge night with Round Table. Held at The Ship Inn, Guisborough. Left in the hands of the V-C’s the evening started with a tussle over the timing of the food, with the usual 7:45 being tried out at 8:30, then pulled forward to 8:00 after dissent amongst the troops. Huge quantities of chilli, rice & chips plus cheese & biscuits were demolished and then, thankfully, subsequent full...

After we received notice that we had to hold this in the front of the pub it was always going to be slightly more challenging than we initially planned. David & David from RCR said this was their most unusual tasting event, with it being held in a pub and after we had all had a plate of chilli, rice & chips and and s...

November is Diabetes awareness month so, thanks to Nick Moss, in an attempt to induce the type 2 variant as a warm up, we set off to the Jolly Drover in Hillbrow to enjoy one of their infamous pudding nights. Sarah whipped us into order so naturally we wondered where she had picked up the skills. After a small portion of chilli to warm up our stomachs (and flan for those who were more muppet than a man) it was on to the puds....
