OK, I've only been in Petersfield for over 40 years and had never realised we had a real bowling green in the centre of town. What a hidden gem!Needless to say, most of us were horrifically bad, and the snooker was even worse. Thoroughly recommended, and I hope they let us back in again one of these decades....

Failing to learn the lesson from 2016, new chairman Mike got us together over pizzas at the Queen's Head to discuss and share ideas for this year. Great evening yesterday as Ex-Tablers turned up en masse to cheer in surprise Chairman, Alex Godwin, as be became this chairman to no-one's surprise. Much grumbling from the wise old birds about the way that process was ignored or abused, but plentiful beer took the edge off the trashing of our traditions. Talking of trashing, I wonder how(e) Sam is feeling this morning after finishing his magically refilling gallon?

Not one, but two new members at the AGM as young Paul Baker and even younger Andy Guest joined us, although we think Andy only did because he doesn't have to pay subs for a few more years. Anyway, with that beard he looks almost old enough to be in the other club!...
