Our thanks to Mr Straker for enthusiastically hosting a once regular event in his garden and domicile. From my records we were last there in 2012 - and we had the opportunity to see the progress thet the local rail engineers have made in extending the line from Waterloo.

Following drinks in the garden (remarkably balmy dgiven the weather on preceding days) we gorged ourselves on what I take to be the best Chinese takeaway food in Leicester.
