27^th MARCH – THE 2 PART EVENING. PART SERIOUS and PART SILLY

FIRST PART - SERIOUS

MAKING A BETTER 41 CLUB FOR ALL

During this 41 Club year, your Council has worked hard to ensure that our Club continues to be relevant and thriving and has a positive future. I hope you agree we have had much success.

However –Only by challenging ourselves to do better, can we secure continuing enjoyment, participation and attendance.

Consequently – Together, we will look to the future.

Howard Ford and Mike Mawtus will facilitate a discussion, where we ask each member to bring to the meeting, “one creative idea to improve our Club”

Each table will discuss and agree their best “Idea” and share it with everyone.

After all Tables have spoken, the ideas will be taken forward to the next Council Meeting for review and adoption.

As a reminder, the key areas of our Annual Programme are:

Dinner/Lunch Meetings with Speakers
Dinner/Lunch Meetings without Speakers – Games, Quizzes, Debates etc
Social Events – Joint events with/without our Ladies
Fellowship activities with other local 41 Clubs - Fundraising

OF COURSE – You may like everything just the way it is, so it’s perfectly valid to vote for the status quo.

SECOND PART – SILLY

During and after Dinner, we will have an Inter-Table competition, challenging Knowledge, Wit and Mental Nimbleness. Short, sharp bursts of action, with the Winning Table taking home the Prizes. (Beer, Wine and other Goodies)

The menu for the evening will be

Starter: Pea, Coconut and Asparagus Soup with Fragrant Spices
Main: Baked Chicken filo Pie with Spring Vegetables and Wild Garlic

As usual, it is assumed you will be attending unless you send apologies by 19^th March 2023 latest, and if you have not apologised, you will be charged £23.

If attending, you should make your payment of £23 asap and not later than 19^th March 2023. Any guests/dietary requirements should also be advised by the same date.
