It is with great sadness that the Association reports the death of Past National President Tom Hodge 1989-90

It is with sadness that I have to let 41 Club know that Tom Hodge died peacefully at Harrogate Hospital on Sunday 11 February 2018. He became ill on the Thursday evening, was discharged at lunchtime on Friday and re-admitted later that evening. He was diagnosed with pneumonia but was responding well to treatment and the plan was to discharge him again on Monday the 12th. Sadly he passed away in the early hours of Sunday morning aged 88.
My dad had been living with dementia for the past 10 years and he and my mum, Evelyn, moved into a care home in Ripon nearly 2 years ago. Dad thought it was sometimes the best and the worst hotel he had ever stayed in! Luckily his short term memory had gone and he didn't have any idea how long he'd been there .I know how much he enjoyed Round Table and 41 Club, and how proud he was to be president and the opportunities it afforded him to meet so many people and travel the world.
The details of the funeral are Friday 2 March 201811.40amHarrogate Crematorium, Wetherby Road, Harrogate HG3 1DEFamily flowers only
Please could let the members know, however I realise there will not be many left that knew dad.
Many thanks.
Kind regards,
Christine Anderson, Daughter
